Books / From Rain to Moonlight / Front Matter
Dedication
For those who find rest in rain,
and peace beneath moonlight.
Author’s Note
When I began shaping this book,
I imagined I would need only perfect images —
flawless scenes from the places I love.
But when I looked back over the years,
I found something else waiting.
Quiet moments I had once paused for,
small reflections I could never stage again.
Some of these photographs are not polished.
They are fragments of time,
caught because they moved me to stop,
to breathe,
to see.
This collection is not about perfection.
It is about presence.
Each page carries what once stirred me to lift my camera,
not to capture beauty,
but to honour a moment of stillness.
What follows is the same invitation:
to pause,
to look,
to let meaning rise gently
from the ordinary.
A Quiet Invitation
This is not a book to be rushed.
Each page is a pause,
a reflection caught between image and word.
Let the journey move as slowly as breath —
rain to river, garden to mountain,
ocean to moonlight.
You do not need to search for meaning.
Simply linger,
and let what arises stay.
